Joseph and Jasmine Wiens created Lost Ranch in 2020, with the dream of making low intervention wines and opening a working ranch focused on regenerative farming principles. You may recognize their last name - Joe is the son of one of the founders of Wiens Family Cellars, one of the top wineries in Temecula. 

Lost Ranch grows and sources grapes from organic and regeneratively farmed vineyards, striving to find the best grape varieties for Temecula. They believe in farming with the lightest touch, integrating as seamlessly as possible with our natural ecosystem.

Their minimal intervention winemaking style focuses on producing the most delicious, compelling wines possible from the local vineyards of Temecula. They don’t manipulate the wines with common additives, such as commercial yeasts, fermentation aids, sugars, and newly toasted oak (this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to additives used in conventional winemaking). They also leave the wines unfined and unfiltered. By keeping the process simple, clean, and focused, Lost Ranch believes the wine’s true soul can shine through.
