Saturday, March 8 at 1pm PT

Join me for an exploration of Piedmont with One on the Hill Wine Club! After getting to visit this special region at the end of last year, I fell even more in love with Piedmontese wines, food, and culture, and I cannot wait to travel there virtually with you!

Located at the foot of the Alps in northwestern Italy, Piedmont is one of the world’s most celebrated wine regions, steeped in history and renowned for its diverse terroir. The region's winemaking roots trace back to Roman times, with a terroir that's characterized by rolling hills, cool Alpine breezes, and a mix of clay, limestone, and sandy soils. These conditions have allowed Piedmont to establish itself as one of the top wine regions in the world, known mostly for its Barolo and Barbaresco, both made from the Nebbiolo grape.

One on the Hill, an importer and wine club, was founded in Northern Italy with a goal to share the magic of Piedmont with the world. Pier (in Alba, Italy), along with Brian and Michael (in Sonoma, CA), are working to bring hand-crafted, organic, and low intervention Piedmontese wines to more people, and they're excited to share their story and some special bottles with us!

Your ticket to this event includes one screen - feel free to invite your friends over!

Here's the link to purchase the tasting pack for this event. We'll be tasting the following wines together:

- Barbaglia “Curticella” Brut NV (sparkling) - 100% Erbaluce from Boca. Aged 48 months on lees.
- Ca’ del Prete “Blenda” Freisa d’Asti DOC 2022 (red) - 100% Freisa, blended from 3 of his vineyards. Free run juice, aged 8 months in stainless steel.
- Cascina Vano “Canova” Barbaresco DOCG 2021 (red) - 100% Nebbiolo, from the Canova vineyard, one of the furthest east vineyards in Barbaresco. Fermented in concrete, aged for 26 months in neutral Slovenian casks.

All of the above are crafted by boutique producers that use natural indigenous yeast and do not fine or filter, with minimal sulfur added at bottling.

As we approach the event date, you’ll receive an email from me with the Zoom link and a list of food pairing suggestions from the winemakers.

By the way, check out my Wine Tasting Club subscription for the best value, access to this event, past tasting recordings, and so much more.

Can't wait to see you there!🍷
